Dolomías de Aragón was created in 1985, at the initiative of the Basque entrepreneur José Arrillaga, to contribute to the development of the Refractory brick that he already made in the locality of Zarautz and that was distributed in the steel market as “Refractarios Arrillaga”.
In May 2017, the Aragonese Industrial Group SAMCA acquired the shares of the company with the aim of consolidating and developing this industrial activity. This gave Dolomías de Aragón the stability necessary for the future development of the company in the three sectors where dolomite makes its contribution as an industrial mineral.
The commitment of the agricultural sector through other companies that already operate in organic Amendments as in Solar protectors, makes this activity the one of greatest interest for the persons who will manage the company.
SAMCA Group is present in Mining, Renewable Energies, Plastic Polymers, Synthetic Fibres, Agro-food, Real Estate Development, Agro-chemical and Logistic Infrastructures industries.
